Hello

My name is Firouzeh Shiranian and I am the Managing Director of Kindernest Montessori Early Childhood Center.

Kindernest Montessori is the culmination of a lifetime of love for education and belief in the power of kindness. I have carefully created an environment where young children can grow and thrive.

We have a heartfelt mission to support families by offering classes, lectures, and a safe, nurturing place for your children. While teaching in different environments, I realized that supporting teachers with work-life balance, a living wage, and a full complement of materials makes the work possible and enjoyable. Supporting the staff of Kindernest is vital to achieving our goals as a school and educational environment.

My Story

Montessori education has profoundly influenced my understanding of young children and the role of education in each individual child's growth and development. I embrace the Montessorian view of the child as a powerful creator of self. Children should be in a respectful, kind, and beautiful environment.

I started a one-day-a-week Persian cultural school called Bagche, which means garden. The school introduced the Persian language, foods, songs, and culture to children in the Boston area. I directed the school for four years and recently accelerated on to leadership.

Before my education journey began, I received a bachelor of civil engineering in Iran and a master of Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston. I am a passionate learner with diverse interests, including baking and cooking, art, and spending time with my family. My husband and I have two children, one in college and the other in middle school, so I understand the joys and challenges of parenting!

I am excited to share my knowledge of Montessori education, passion for culture and cooking, and love of nature with your children. I look forward to getting to know you and your children.
