Master Teacher Trainer – Montessori Education
With over 45 years of experience in Montessori education, Barbara Prince has dedicated her life to fostering growth and discovery in both children and educators. Her journey began as an Assistant and Lead Teacher, later evolving into roles as an Administrator, Teacher Trainer, and Mentor. As a Master Teacher Trainer, Barbara has influenced countless educators, guiding them in the core principles of Montessori education, and inspiring them to create nurturing, engaging learning environments.
Barbara’s passion for environmental education is woven into her teaching philosophy. As a writer, storyteller, and environmental educator, she integrates nature’s wisdom into the classroom. She has also led wilderness retreats, offering deep insights into the natural world and its connection to child development.
Outside the classroom, Barbara’s diverse experiences include commercial fishing and managing a 12-acre organic farm in Plymouth, where she and her family raised their own food. These hands-on life experiences enrich her storytelling and mentorship, giving her a unique perspective on self-sufficiency, community, and environmental stewardship.
