Christina Valente
Infant Toddler Teacher Trainer
Cristina Valente is an experienced Montessori educator with a profound passion for infant and toddler development. She holds both Montessori Infant/Toddler Certification from the North American Montessori Center and AMS Infant/Toddler Certification from the Northeast Montessori Institute in Warren, ME. Cristina is currently completing her American Montessori Society Instructor Academy, with graduation in August 2024, and is part of the American Montessori Society Anti-Bias/Anti-Racist (ABAR) Cohort 8, set to finish in December 2023.
Cristina has built an impressive career over the past two decades, specializing in Montessori education for young children. Her roles have ranged from Lead Teacher to Head of School and Infant/Toddler Field Trainer and Advisor for the Dallas Montessori Training Center. She is currently the Head of School and Lead Toddler/Preschool Teacher at Covered Bridge Montessori School in Weare, NH, a new Montessori school she opened for children ages 18 months to 3 years.
Her extensive experience also includes leadership roles at several Montessori schools in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Notably, Cristina was responsible for opening new toddler rooms, setting up Montessori environments from the ground up, and coordinating staff and curriculum. Her dedication to supporting both the children and her team has made her a valuable asset in every setting she’s been a part of.
Cristina’s commitment to Montessori education goes beyond the classroom. She is an Infant/Toddler Field Trainer, sharing her expertise with other educators, and has presented at national and regional conferences on various topics, including “Open Your World – Ways to Develop Literacy in a Montessori Infant/Toddler Community” and “Celebrations – Ways to Bring the Holidays into your Montessori Infant/Toddler Community.”
Her background in early childhood education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a Special Education Minor from the University of Massachusetts, as well as an Associate’s Degree in Child Studies from Mount Ida College.
In addition to her work in Montessori education, Cristina has been a Special Olympics Swim Coach and Program Coordinator for Early Childhood and Adult Programs for the City of Newton’s Parks and Recreation Department, where she has been involved since 1998.
Cristina brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a deep passion for creating nurturing, inclusive Montessori environments where children can grow, thrive, and develop independence. She is excited to contribute her expertise as the Infant Toddler Teacher Trainer at Kindernest Montessori, where she will continue her dedication to guiding and shaping the future of early childhood education.
