Meg Vyas

Yoga and Mindfulness Instructor, Kindernest Montessori

Meg Vyas is the founder of Mindfulness with Meg, a ChildLight Education Company® yoga and mindfulness trainer, and a certified health coach. Based in Chelmsford, Meg has worked with a wide range of populations, including children from birth to eighteen and neurodivergent individuals. Since founding her company in 2009, she has positively impacted thousands of lives through her holistic approach to wellness.

Meg currently works with children and teens in schools and hospitals, including mental health in-patient programs and cancer care for children. She also serves neurodiverse adults in a day program. In all her roles, Meg collaborates extensively with clients, educators, parents, and children to promote character education, nutrition, movement, and mindfulness—essential components for filling a personal wellness toolbox.

As a registered adult and child yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance, Meg brings a wealth of experience to her sessions. She has studied Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) under Jon Kabat-Zinn and is also a certified health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Her expertise has made her a sought-after speaker, having presented at the National Kids Yoga Conference in Washington D.C. and several educational conferences in New Hampshire.

One unique element Meg brings to Kindernest Montessori is the harmonium, a traditional pump organ that produces sound by air being pushed through reeds. Often used in Indian classical music, the harmonium adds a soothing, melodic dimension to Meg's yoga and mindfulness sessions with children, fostering both calmness and focus.

Meg’s teaching style is playful and interactive, rooted in the belief that “what we practice grows stronger.” She invites children to explore the depths of yoga and mindfulness, helping them develop the tools they need to ride the waves of life.

Meg holds a BA from Middlebury College and a Master’s in Library and Information

Science from Simmons College. Her dedication to wellness and her engaging approach make her a valued part of the Kindernest Montessori team.
