Behnaz Rezaei

Behnaz Rezaei (Bennie) brings over a decade of Montessori classroom experience and a lifetime of dedication to children’s development. With a warm heart, a sharp mind, and a steady presence, she has spent the past nine years as an Assistant Montessori Teacher at Walnut Park and three years as a Toddler Teacher at Newton Montessori School. Her deep knowledge of Montessori principles is matched by her grace in the classroom and her ability to meet each child with respect and joy.

Behnaz is EEC certified and holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University. She combines her academic training with the wisdom gained from many years of hands-on work in Montessori environments. Her experience supporting toddlers through the sensitive periods of early development has made her a beloved and trusted educator.

Before her time in Montessori, Behnaz served for 25 years as the Vice President of the Boston Language Institute, where she honed her leadership skills and nurtured her love of education. Earlier in her career, she also worked as a calculus instructor at UMASS and civil engineer—bringing a unique precision and analytical perspective to her work with young children.

Behnaz’s commitment to Montessori education is rooted in her deep belief in the potential of every child. She sees the prepared environment as a sacred space, where children are free to explore, create, and grow with dignity. Her calm demeanor, rich experience, and heartfelt dedication make her a guiding light for both children and colleagues.

Behnaz continues to study and reflect on her practice, always striving to support the unfolding of the child’s spirit through kindness, structure, and deep care.
